On today’s Hollywood edition of Soundwaves 10@10, we’ll hear ten songs from Oscar winners
and nominees who tried to launch music careers. Some were successful, some less so…

Wow -- that's quite a star-studded list of (mostly) songs nobody's ever heard. Probably some selections could qualify as HFHs, I'm guessing.  I'm certainly curious.

"some" were successful?  LOL. I count 3 that had actual pop hits (tho' not with the songs presented here)

Holy crap -- this Eddie Murphy thing is really good, esp considering his main (singing) claim-to-fame is "Party All the Time" and "Boogie in Your Butt".  This ("Patience") is from Dreamgirls, iirc.

People made fun of Russell Crowe's singing in Les Miz but this song of his ("Weight of a Man") is quite good.

DW is indulging both his passions here, with limited success. Nothing that really caught my ear. Would have enjoyed hearing one of the songs Jeff Bridges did in his "Bad Blake" role in Crazy Heart.
Let's get right to it.
