Thursday December 8-a Lennon set? Nope-1980, date-specific
« on: December 08, 2005, 09:56:14 AM »
No clues from Dave yet. Ordinarily I think it would go without saying that today's set would be a Lennon tribute, but since the entire morning show was exactly that, who knows? I'm holding out hope...

ETA: OK, it's a birthday request set for someone born on this day in 1980. Starting with Hey Nineteen, I'd expect to hear Bowie, maybe Loverboy, and of course John.
Let's get right to it.

We had a 1980 "classic" just last week, so this is not exactly stoking my fire.

Let me add Springsteen and the Police to the list of likely appearances.
Let's get right to it.

This JCM (?) is BOS for novelty alone.  Can't recall Dave ever playing this.

I'm kinda diggin' "Whip It' & "Teacher, Teacher".

But gotta bail for a 10:30 meeting down the block.

See ya.

Not a big fan of "Teacher, Teacher" myself- but "Whip It" is always welcome.

I'm giving an HM to Diana Ross cuz I just like the song.

BOS2 Donna Summer, "The Wanderer" -- don't think Dave's played this one in ages, if ever.

OK, what/who is this "I'm a Wanderer" tune? It's a narada in my book--never heard it.

ETA: I see Mike answered my question before I could ask it.
Let's get right to it.
