yay for the who!! we watched "tommy" in the bar the other night. i realised i'd never seen it sober, and, therefore, didn't remember having ever seen the last 45 minutes of the movie. pretty strange messiachic twist.

I second the BOS(2) for the Who, and BOS3 to the Monkees, the best thornoughly contrived pop group ever. With a tip o the hat to Neil Sedaka--at least Bob Rafelson had the sense to hire good songwriters.
