24 August 2016: It's 1978

Very funny start with Sensitive Guy (Stephen Bishop) from Animal House yielding to the mighty Who (Are You)!

BOSFRA for Bruce's "Adam Raised a Cain". Good song.

Sorry to always be the crankypants here but to me this is yet another set of (mostly) chestnuts. Had we not just heard "Short People" on The Sound the other day, it might've seemed like a rarity. Closest to that classification: "Adam Raised a Cain"  Artfully put together, certainly but these sets leave me wishing they were more adventurous.

Is everything off The Cars' debut album FFs/overexposed or is there a track or two that hasn't been played to death?

I'd say "I'm in Touch with Your World" and "Don't Cha Stop"  are the two that are not overexposed. Everything else: I never need to hear again.

Just catching up to this one now, as I was on jury duty yesterday. Pretty much everything I've heard so far was a hit at the time, and the only things I haven't heard to death (so far) are Short People and Hot Child in the City (which is pretty bubble-gummy, imo).

A couple of clips worth mentioning though: the Creature Features theme and the clip of Warren Beatty from Heaven Can Wait. Now there's a film that might deserve to be revisited.
Let's get right to it.
