12 August 2016: It's..."Kiss My Brass!"

Cue the Tower of Power, Chicago, Chase, Cold Blood, BST etc.

I haven't peeked at the list yet, but really hoping he goes for some cookers rather than the usual suspects.
Let's get right to it.

Well, I wasn't planning to peek but they didn't invisible-ize the list on the Soundwaves page, so it's spoiler city today. There are a few less-heard songs in the set along with a couple that I could have done without entirely, but among the bands I named above (or at least the three that are included -- you can guess which) it's all FFs, all the time. Sigh.
Let's get right to it.

I haven't looked yet, but how did it compare to Dave's classic "Brass Rock" set (whch ended up being repeated 3 or 4 times, iirc):

07/04/2007 - July 4th...a CLASSIC "Brass Rock"
All American Brass Rock

1.  Chase - Get It On
2.  Ides Of March - Vehicle
3.  Hugh Masekela/Friends Of Distinction - Grazin' In The Grasses
4.  Chicago -Make Me Smile
5.  Blood Sweat & Tears - Lucretia McEvil
6.  Jackie Wilson w/ Count Basie - Chain Gang
7.  Cold Blood - I Just Want To Make Love To You
8.  Lighthouse - One Fine Morning
9.  Tower Of Power - Soul Vaccination
10.  Beatles - Got To Get You Into My Life

ETA: having looked at today's (it's now invisible, BTW) it seems there's less emphasis on '70s "horn bands".

So they played TOP horns with Little Feat on "Spanish Moon". Will they play "Everybody's Everything" too? Great combos, those two pairs.

Well, it's "You're Still a Young Man" which is fine, but not all that inspiring, especially from the horny point of view.
