Bassist Rob Wasserman, who is most widely known for his collaboration with Bob Weir in RatDog, but also worked with Lou Reed, Rickie Lee Jones, David Grisman, Metallica and Elvis Costello to name just a few, passed away of undisclosed causes earlier today.

Geoff, did you ever have any interaction with Wasserman? A great, great talent.

I spent some time with him in the early 90's, talking about basses.  He was a really nice guy, soft-spoken and polite.   Not your normal rock star!
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!
