Think I'll tune in shortly, soon as I refill my coffee, if anyone is around for real-time commentary.
Let's get right to it.

TOTHK = Jungle Boogie. Good tune, forever linked to Pulp Fiction.

Pretty pedestrian song selection so far.

George Carlin/Flip Wilson clip >

7. George Harrison, Hari’s on Tour (Express)

OK, that's an honest-to-gosh rarity, possibly a bustout.
Let's get right to it.

7. George Harrison, Hari’s on Tour (Express)

OK, that's an honest-to-gosh rarity, possibly a bustout.

It seems lately that DW will have one deep cut/rarity/bustout and "play it safe" the rest of the set.  Initially, he had some really obscure deep cuts, and IIRC there was some discussion about how obscure they were. Did that frighten DW and have him choose more familiar songs?

I hope not -- I can get big hits and overexposed "classics" from the Sound and The Drive. The Harrison and the EJ/JL deserve kudos however. (and the latter, technically speaking, wasn't released until Feb '75 as the B-side of "Philly Freedom")

That thought crossed my mind. I agree with Mike on the Harrison and Lennon/Elton tunes though. I think he played figured it qualified as it was recorded at a Nov. '74 show (Thanksgiving night, iirc).

Ali-Foreman fight KO clip. Very timely.

Finally listened through this set.  I would have placed this clip before Ringo's slot and replaced "You're Sixteen" with "I'm The Greatest". :)
