VHM to the Dead. The recorded version isn't their best representation of this song, but live this one could really rip.
Let's get right to it.

yeah, SS is more disco-y, tho' iirc Arista serviced this one to clubs too. It was all Clive Davis' fault.

There are few things I agree with Dave Marsh about, but his line about the Dead doing the lamest, whitest covers of R&B songs ever is pretty (pun intended) dead-on.

MAW, "Be Good Johnny" gets a VHM.

Men at Work, Be Good Johnny

This song is why leaving these things to Foghead requests can be a minefield.

Of course, Good Lovin' was blue-eyed soul to begin with. What does that make this? Albino Soul?

well, actually the Rascals version was a white cover of an R&B original (the Olympics, iirc).

Amy can't get joy, 'cause she's no "good"

And it's a Beatles (yay!) twin-spin! But does that make this one number 11?

BOS for "Good Morning". It's quite a composition and production too.

3/25/16 - Friday!  It's "good" songs

1. Better Than Ezra - Good
2. James Brown - I Got You (I Feel Good)
(TV:  Good Times:  "I got so much soul I make James Brown look like Lawrence Welk")
3. Devo - That's Good
(News:  Linda Ellerbee with good news)
4. BoDeans - Good Things
5. Grateful Dead - Good Lovin'
    (Movie:  E.T.:  "be good")
6. Men At Work - Be Good Johnny
7. Peter Tosh - Johnny B. Goode
8. Chic - Good Times
    (Movie:  Wizard of Oz)
9. Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm No Good
    (TV:  Columbo)
10.The Beatles - Good Day Sunshine
    (Movie:  The Truman Show)
11.The Beatles - Good Morning Good Morning

Nos. 3 and 9 appear to be bust-outs.

My personal request (which I don't think was duplicated) is Jefferson Airplane's Good Shepherd. Slim chance, since I just requested it about 20 minutes ago, but you never know.
Woulda been sweet.
