11 Sept 2015: an "encore" from... 1981
« on: September 11, 2015, 07:47:08 AM »
KFOG is running 9/11 memoriam montages at the top of every hour ("at KFOG... we remember"), so I'd say the odds of a 2001 set today have increased.

well, color me surprised -- 1981 And we start with another all-time HFH for me, Diesel.  Eeek.

Wow, this was within a couple months of her taking over the reins. TOTHK notwithstanding, there are some good songs in here.
Let's get right to it.

Both the Chron and Examiner dip a toe into the pool of online publishing.

"NOOOOOO!!!! STOP!!!  Don't do it!!!! You'll regret it!!!"

(Says the guy who's worked in internet publishing for most of the last 15 years.)

I always like their musicianship, almost never like their songs...

Devo, Rush and King Crimson: three different flavors of progressive rock in this set. Nice.

BOS Crimso.

Enjoying this King Crimson. NTM.

Does Devo count as progressive? That seems at odds with their policy of devolution.

Yessongs, was it you who lives in Corvallis?  I was just down there yesterday.

(Or am I confusing you with someone else? If that's so, then forget I said anything.)

ETA: Scratch that -- it was Rastermon (another occasional contributor here) that I was thinking of.
