Songwriter Wayne Carson died yesterday -- among his gems were "The Letter", "Soul Deep" and "Neon Rainbow" (all for the Box Tops)... and a little ditty called "Always On My Mind" which the Pet Shop Boys did in '88. So don't be surprised if we hear that one (even tho' she played it a month ago).

I coulda done without "Wild Wild West".  I still think "sheriff's on the airwaves talking to the D.J.'s" sounds like "Cher is on the airwaves..."
