Is "Room To Move" following the Rowan & Martin reference to going commando under a towel a mere  coincidence?

If deliberate this may be one of - if not the best - Annalisa sets evah!

Per AL, Dylan/Cash win BOS -- and she says that it was on this very date (2/17/69) that they began that recording session.

this set will surely end up the highlight of the week for me; I'm guessing after '87 yesterday we'll get '90s tomorrow.

Probably a pure coincidence, but since the new morning show, the reaction to the 10@10s seems to be considerably more enthusiastic than it has been since AL's first term.

She does seem to have stepped up a bit (or maybe the PD is encouraging more creative license?).  Even tho' I'm not fond of '90s/'00s sets I have to acknowledge the 2 last week were well-done.

Per AL on FB, Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash got BOS.

ETA: Oops, I didn't see RGMike's post above.   :P

I'll have to listen to the rebroadcast tonight (or whenever it's uploaded to SoundCloud)...

I drove to Arcata and back today, so missed the live set.  Just listening to Cold Blood now.  Great sound.  Not TOP horns.  Great bassist.

This set faked me out with the first track -- I thought we might be getting an encore of 17-Sep-14.
I also thought that it could have rocked much more, as usual.  However we got two fine bust-outs,
four rarities, and the others were favorites that have not been terribly overexposed.  So while
this was a pretty good show, there is still a lot of headroom in a fantastically awesome year like
1969.

I'm a little surprised that Bob & Johnny took BOS (again).  I thought for sure it would be Neil.
He gets my vote today.  One of a handful of songs that really reminds me of listening to my
family's new multi-band Telefunken radio, and the amazing new world of FM broadcasts.

ha! My uncle had a Telefunken -- they were considered THE high-end radios back then. That was where I first heard FM stations too, in late '69.

I remember hearing "Brother Love's..." on WMCA when it came out and thinking it was amazing... then it sorta flopped (peaking in the 20s on Billboard).  later that year "Sweet Caroline", which seemed similar to my 14-year-old ears, was a huge hit. I was baffled.

I actually got Annalisa on the phone a bit later in the morning & told her how much I love the multi-vocal harmonies she featured (apologies dischead, '69 could certainly have rocked more, but I didn't mind that this one didn't).

I asked her if "Room To Move" after the Laugh-In clip was on purpose or just a happy coincidence, and she said:

"I thought that might be fun.  Glad you enjoyed it."
