31 Dec 2014: it's... the return of '80s Chartbusters?
« on: December 30, 2014, 09:03:55 PM »
"On the next 10@10: I'll let the ball drop on some rocking' New Years Eves of the 80's! Bust out some dancin' shoes and Aquanet for a fun time traveling set!" sez AL on FB. Sure *sounds* like a Morey vertical tasting.

Whatever it is, I'm seeing an 11am showing of Into the Woods so I'll miss out.  Take notes, kidz!

1984: Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want To Have Fun
Always a fave!!

1985: Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)

After the first three eminently least necessary records things are improving a bit.

1986: Bangles - Walk Like an Egyptian

OK, 3 steps forward, one step back.

1983: Oingo Boingo - Who Do You Want To Be  (bust-out?)

Could be...Dave Morey was always very scant with his Oingo Boingo to be sure.

Well, Dave never played it, but Annalisa sure did -- half a dozen times at least between her earlier tenure and the return earlier this year.

Nice to see you popping by this space once in awhile, Mark. Hope all is going well at your place, both workwise and with the family. Saw a couple pics of you & the boys pop up on FB the other day. Jeez, they're growing up fast.

Yeah they sure are.  Both had their birthdays in the last 9 days, so now they're 15 & 13 (9th & 7th grades).  They seem destined to be tall.

2014 has been a real up and down year, but I'm feeling good about 2015.
