"One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" ---> Creedence Clearwater Revival "Fortunate Son"
Fortunately, this song no longer has any relevance today
I was thinking that one thing I like about a lot of the late '60's/early '70's golden age songs was that the guitars sound like a guy jamming at home on a small amp. Guitar-based songs since have tended towards arena-ready big guitar sounds on the studio versions, which I also like a lot of the time, but there's something very pleasant about the smaller guitar sound.
Anyway, the first band I thought of as an example of that warm late '60's guitar sound was Creedence, and here they are.
