I predict that when this set changes pace it will go in a soul/r&b direction.

"One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" ---> Creedence Clearwater Revival "Fortunate Son"

Fortunately, this song no longer has any relevance today  ::)

I was thinking that one thing I like about a lot of the late '60's/early '70's golden age songs was that the guitars sound like a guy jamming at home on a small amp. Guitar-based songs since have tended towards arena-ready big guitar sounds on the studio versions, which I also like a lot of the time, but there's something very pleasant about the smaller guitar sound.

Anyway, the first band I thought of as an example of that warm late '60's guitar sound was Creedence, and here they are.

Hmm, seems like another misguided forecast from here. Unless this Box Tops counts. It's got the word "Soul" in it!

Manson family --> "Golden Slumbers" medley.

This is song 10, so unless we "go to eleven" we're not getting Stones or Tempts.
