4 Nov 2014: it's... 1983
« on: November 03, 2014, 10:36:30 PM »
AL is at the Black Keys concert this evening, so I'm guessing she won't be posting a request thread for tomorrow's set.

ETA: Could it possibly be an Election Day set?

nope - it's '83

I'd prefer that to a '90s visit -- we'd get the usual suspects either way but an Election set would provide better suspects IMHO.  Or should I say, suspects we only hear once a year, as opposed to songs that are in regular KFOG rotay.

news: unemployment --> "Break My Stride". BOS2 for a nice little slice o'Pop.  (tho' I must say "the road behind was rocky/and now you're feelin' cocky" is rather Train-worthy)

Dynasty (Blake & Krystle and the locket) --> "Always Something There to Remind me". Closest to an LN so far; this one, fun as it is, is rather well-worn.

I'll give it a VHM since it takes me right back to that time. My brother (7 years younger than me) had a girlfriend and this was their song. "Naked Eyes are watching you." Bleah.

BOS for the Human League; sounds like an extra long intro. Longer outro too...

Strange clip.

more Outsiders --> Tracey Ullman. Sentimental VHM for a longtime Moreytrina. Certainly one of the great pop singles of that decade.
