Quote
Mr. Ravenscroft received a flat fee for his work on the song, which made Mr. Rafferty a fortune, but it kick-started his career.  A virtual unknown when he played on Baker Street, he went on to become a busy studio musician, working with Pink Floyd, Abba, Marvin Gaye and others.

certainly one of the great sax solos. Guess we'll be hearing "Baker Street" in the next 1978 set.

Seriously one of the great names of all time in any field.  Coulda been used for a soap opera character, or a TV weatherman, or a gay porn star, or just about anything in between!
