RIP Paul Revere (of Paul Revere And The Raiders), 76

As has been mentioned elsewhere, an underrated star from the 60's (and 70's). Had a #1 song in 1971, "Indian Reservation"

They were quite big in 66-67 with the teenybopper Tiger Beat crowd, and hosted (or maybe they were the house band) on an afternoon TV show called Where The Action Is (produced by Dick Clark, iirc), with lots of other bands guesting as well. I remember seeing James Brown on there a couple times, but my 7-year-old self didn't get him.
Let's get right to it.

Indian Reservation was well beyond their prime time in my opinion.  Some of their earlier songs were huge, at least when I was in 8th grade!
Don't stand in the way of LOVE!

VERY underrated, because of, well, the costumes, and because they were a singles band, mostly. But what great singles. 14 Top 40 hits.
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round

Wow, can't believe it's been this long since I looked at this thread, but here's 2 things:

"Indian Reservation" was the very first song I ever purchased in any format (45" single back then), and believe it or not, Paul Revere was his given name at birth, not a nom d' rock.
"Music is the Earth, People are the Flowers, and I am the Hose."
