I'll be at an offsite on Monday and unable to listen, which means we'll probably get a '60 "classic"

This appears to be the classic we're getting, going all the way back to July of 2010.

Dating back to the time when AL was piloting her own ship, this one was a nice array of top 40 tunes with a rarity or two tossed in. The segue from a mostly uptempo set to the mellow Tupelo Honey was a little jarring, but it's such a great song I can't bitch too much. BOS King Floyd, Todd, Chicago, and the aforementioned Van the Man.

ETA: This has to be the fewest comments ever on a 1971 set, even a classic.

a nice pop-oriented outing, and I'm assuming the Todd/Runt track was a bustout at the time.

I missed the Osmonds this morning, so when I tuned in I heard the Lighthouse song first.  I assumed
they were still pulling shows from 2012, so I thought we were in for this one:

Quote
4/11/12 - Wednesday! One Fine (News-free) Morning in...1971!

1. Lighthouse - One Fine Morning
2. Chase - Get It On
   (TV:  The Electric Company)
3. Badfinger - Day After Day
(Movie:  Dirty Harry (Clint Eastwood):  "Go ahead.  Make my day.")
4. Carole King - It's Too Late
(Ad:  GAF View Master with Henry Fonda)
5. Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells A Story
6. King Floyd - Groove Me
7. Al Green - I'm So Tired of Being Alone
(TV:  All In The Family:  Archie and Meathead are both sick)
8. Bee Gees - How Can You Mend A Broken Heart
(Movie:  Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory:  Gene Wilder:  "We are the music makers... the dreamers of dreams")
9. Harry Nilsson - Think About Your Troubles
(Movie:  Harold & Maude:  Maude (Ruth Gordon):  "L-I-V-E live!")
10.Traffic - The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys (B.O.S!)

A much better show, IMO.  Oh well, I think you'd actually have to work at it to get a bad 1971 set.
But while today's set had it's high points (Tom!  Janis!), it was yet another pop-heavy show.
There were so many other pop/rock related genres producing good music in 1971 -- it's a shame
they get so little play with the skew towards pop.
