Before I forget to mention it, I saw last night that Bruce Springsteen is guesting on the Daily Show tonight. B-R-R-U-U-U-U-U-U-C-C-E!!!

For those with VH-1 Soul on their cable system: they're doing a 5-hour special tonite (7-midnite) called "New Jack Swing A-to-Z" with NJS videos presumably in alpha order.

Oh wow, this could be fun.  Post any highlights!

(Also: anyone see Bruce on Daily Show?  I'll catch it online soon enough, I guess.)

Can't Stop the Music is on cable as we speak. Still one of the most jaw-droppingly bad movies evah.

It was on FLIX, a Showtime offshoot that I get for free even tho' I don't have SHO. It ended at 5pm Pacific in any case. I tuned in too late to do the Milkshake.

Meanwhile, no actual music involved, but they just showed Neil Young in the stands at the Sharks game. (Well, he *is* Canadian.)

Talk about an OMGWTFLOL: I'm watching the local forecast on the Weather Channel, and I suddenly realize that the KKSF-style music in the background is a jazzy instrumental version of... Starship's "Find Your Way Back"!?! AAAAAACK!

yeah yeah, sweet story, blah blah. Sorry, anything that gives Simon Cowell (or any kind of reality TV) publicity -- even indirectly -- makes me barf.

Saw that yesterday--yep, it's a real heartstring-tugger. And she does have a pretty great voice. Makes me wonder what her backstory is. I'm sure we'll find out eventually.
Let's get right to it.

sorry, I just HATE "Idol" in all it's permutations. I'm sure she's a very nice lady. (but still a virgin at her age? I smell serious issues...)

caught Little Shop of Horrors (1986) on cable over the weekend, first time I'd seen it in years. I'd forgotten how wonderful it it, especially the faux-'60s music by Ashman & Menken, who of course went on to win Oscars for Disney films.  It had escaped my notice back in the day, but the songs and score were produced by Bob Gaudio!
