So I'm AFK for about 10 minutes, the player says John Mayer, but I'm hearing Guided By Voices "Chasing Heather Crazy." Now that's not too shabby.
Let's get right to it.

"I am In-whince-a-bull!"
I was really tired of John Mayer in general and The Real World in particular, but it sounds pretty good today. Absence did help with the heart on this one. When it first came out, I thought it was quite fine.

I would concur. I feel the same way about Gotye's "Somebody I Used To Know".

I'll third that. This is why the most useful songs for 10@10 are the ones that aren't in KFOG's (or other local stations') regular rotation.

I'm not ready to enjoy Luce's "Pretty Good Day" yet, however.

Apparently Renee had just played "Short Skirt/Long Jacket".

jeebus -- this is becoming a regular KFOG thing; either AL playing something RR played or something from 10@10 showing up on KFOG the next morning.  AL posted "SS/LJ" on FB last nite, so I figured it was inevitable. She probably wanted to strangle Renee.

Def a song that reminds me of 2001 but only because it was in KFOG's heavy rotation then. Given that it has only dropped to medium since then, this is about as LN as they come.

Still, there are other songs off of that album that could make an appearance.

REM's "Imitation of Life" sounds pretty good. Not the most wonderful song, but it's been a while since I heard it.

Wow, when you say "just played it" you weren't kidding: 9:45 and then again at 10:08, per the station's playlist. That's just asinine.

I'd've gone for "All The Way To Reno".

Always a BOS for the Shins, even though this is probably their most overplayed song.

2. The Strokes - Someday
3. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Spread Your Love
4. The Shins - New Slang
5. Jack Johnson - Flake
6. No Doubt - Underneath It All
7. Nickelback - How You Remind Me
8. Staind - It's Been Awhile
9. Natalie Merchant - Just Can't Last
10.Gary Jules - Mad World (BOS)

"Life on a Chain" is a good song, but KFOG killed it already.

8. Shins: New Slang
9. Pete Yorn: Life On A Chain

#9 is nails-on-a-chalkboard for me at this point.
