Bob Welch's remake of "Sentimental Lady". I still prefer the Mac orig.

and speaking of: here they are with "You Make Loving LN"

Took the words right out of my mouth...
Now I'm eight bits...

I agree, although three-fifths of Mac plays on Welch's redo: Mick, Lindsey B. and Christine McVie.
Let's get right to it.

Wow, MTB getting airtime again

heard a fair amt of MTB yesterday: they were the artist of choice, it seems, during the interludes between band setups at a club in SF that had a Memorial Day hoedown with about five acts, including Red Meat and Dave Gonzalez (The Palladins, Hacienda Bros).  Good times, y'all!  *spits tobacky juice*

Beavis: You know, sometimes, like when I think about my dad, I always imagine that he's Sir Mix-A-Lot.
Butthead: You wish Beavis, your dad was probably that roadie for the Marshall Tucker Band.

nice to hear Red Meat are still around. Was a big fan back in the '90s when they got lots of airplay on KSAN/KNEW's Sunday nite alt-country show.

yeah, they were good, and had lots of fans there, but my fun fave was Velvetta, a C&W/twang band led by Leigh Crow, who used to do Elvis Herselvis.  :)

The El Rio, by any chance? They used to play there a fair amount.

ding ding ding!

Their Memorial and Labor Day events are benefits that feature c&w bands. Can't recall what the benefit was for, but it's five bands, low cover, nice patio, really crappy food.
