unless song 10 is 12 minutes long, this is a really short set.

I'd've preferred she followed it with some actual Costello instead of this NRBQ Moreytrina.

Perhaps you're thinking of Bonnie Raitt's cover? Dave only ever played Get That Gasoline Blues and A Little Bit of Bad from the NRBQ catalog.
Let's get right to it.

as a bicyclist I officially must hate on this Gary Numan song, but it kicks ass!

saw Gary Numan last month at the Fillmore and it was a FANTASTIC show.  His new album -- yes he is still making music -- channels dark synth goth, a la NIN, but when he trotted out Cars and Are 'Friends' Electric?, all the awesomeness of the elder statesmen of 80s new wave was back in full force.

Turning Japanese, I heard this not 40 mins ago on Oldies 103.7 -- or maybe it was kfox.

this is the stuff I was listening to back then.  :)

me mind is playing tricks on me. AL has surely played it before. And yeah, the Bonnie version has also been spun.

ETA: Interestingly, AL didn't solicit BOS voting...

I'd say the 1985 set was weaker, but YMMV.  This one coulda used a couple more rarities, certainly.

if it were a DM 1980, maybe we'd hear 'Althea.'

Feel Like a Stranger, Lost Sailor/Saint of Circumstance would be wonderful bust-outs.

I think this set would have been improved with more synths...

Thursday's 1973 set was okay, but otherwise I did not think much of the shows this week.  Maybe
it's just me, but I haven't even been motivated enough to comment on them.  Oh well...
