Would love to hear Couldn't I Just Tell You next. Not sure if California Man is a bustout--I have vague recollections of it coming up at least once before (either the first AL regime or RR with someone else steering the boat--Dave never played it so far as I know.)

Not Joe Cocker (aka Randy Newman) with You Can Leave Your Hat On
Anyone else feel that Ziggy Stardust should get more consideration as the best ever rock album?
David Bowie, Hang on to YourselfAnyone else feel that Ziggy Stardust should get more consideration as the best ever rock album?Mini-power pop set and now mini-glam rock set. 'Tis a good day, indeed.

Sounded like just piano. You might be on to something there. Randy re-recorded a lot of his songs in 2003 for an album called The Randy Newman Songbook Vol. 1, which featured only Randy's singing and piano playing. So maybe she played that version. The Sail Away version prominently features snare drum and slide guitar (Ry Cooder!).
