I liked your Mary Jane Girls, and "plussed" RGM's Sun City request. The absence of that one is a mystery because there aren't any obvious genre boundaries there. Wasn't Miami Steve the driving force behind that single, for cripes sake?

uber-LN request of the day: "Glory Days"/"Don't You Forget About Me" --both from the same guy.

OTOH, I fully support the request for "Party All the Time"

Won't be able to post live today, but hopefully I'll be able to listen in the car.

Take thorough notes!

thanks for the +1! I was always surprised Dave ignored "Sun City" and my only guess is that it wasn't as big in SF as it was on the East Coast, where it got tons of play on both alternative and AOR formats. Anybody who was here in '85 can correct me.

meanwhile I've been listening to an April 1986 retro-chart on 2NG and there've been some stellar gems like Bronski Beat "C'mon C'mon", New Order's "Shellshock", Hipsway's "The Honeythief" and PSBs "Love Comes Quickly".

Breakfast Club clip --> J&MC "Just Like Honey". Closest to a rarity so far.

Cult, "She Sells Sanctuary". VHM because I've always liked it, but it's far from rare in this context.
