OTOH, Thorogood is WAAAY handsomer than Ocasek.
interesting comparison.  While Ocasek had no less than 3 songs that peaked at #41 on the Hot 100, Lonesome George never charted anywhere other than Mainstream Rock Tracks, where he had a #2, #3, #4, and a #5 hit.

I defy anyone to name his highest charting hit, which came in 1993.

I wanna say it was a re-released "Bad to the Bone" which got serious (over-)exposure back then in movies and commercials. If not "BTTB" then I've no clue.

Nice try, but it was some tune called "Get A Haircut", which apparently was an 'almost title track' to the below album.

Not that I had any idea of either the song or album before I looked it up this morning.

I have actually heard that once -- iirc, somebody (Ginger? Rob?) played it and it was  something of a "WTF?" moment. Or maybe I heard it on KCDX...

the album art looks like Peter Bagge's work (he did the comic "Hate", which I "love.")

whoa!  I have not heard this song in precisely 30 yrs , and had completely forgotten about it.

BOSOW & BOSFRA "I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass"

Funny how, in the interview clip that preceded this, Nick disses two Bay area bands: Journey and Jefferson Starship.
Let's get right to it.

I was serious about the "Can I hear that again?"  I missed what he said about my beloved JS, only caught their name!

I think he said something like "Bands today have to have a sense of humor to survive. Otherwise you sound like Journey." Then someone else chimes in, "That's not very nice," and he responds, "OK, Jefferson Starship then."
Let's get right to it.
