I'll give Edgar Winter BOS just b/c I never hear this outside 10@10.  And yes, every time I hear this, I still think of the time Dave played this on a "Sledgehammers" ep for a guy who said it reminded him of undergoing shock therapy.  Geesh.

Well I emailed Ginger with the request, but who knows?  She did a good set last year and the year before (just checked).  Rob did one last year, which was acclaimed the best of the four time zones, but did 1984 in '05.

ETA:  I just looked at Mike's post with Ginger's setlist yesterday & it says "1981 tomorrow".  Bummer!

Whatever became of "Sledgehammers"? The first two times Dave did them, they were some of the most riveting radio I've ever heard -- the stories were phenomenal. 3rd time... notsomuch. And there was a Xmas sledgehammers too, no? but then they stopped.

I suspect they're a little labor-intensive, recording, keeping track of and  editing down the numerous foghead phone calls. I have to wonder if that's why we haven't gotten the traditional Foghead Xmas card set the last couple of years, too.
