Let's go back to...1967!!
1. Beatles - Your Mother Should Know
2. Parliament - Testify
3. Byrds - My Back Pages
4. Bee Gees - Massachusetts
5. Pink Floyd - See Emily Play
6. Leonard Cohen - Suzanne
7. Doors - Break on Through
8. Monkees - I'm a Believer (BEST OF SET!!)
9. Otis & Carla - Tramp
10. Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth
BONUS TRACK: Beach Boys - Wild Honey
hmmm...back then I liked the Monkees, but wouldn't put them in the same class as the others in this list. I guess now they seem different?
Depends upon how the individual defines BOS, i guess. "I'm a Believer" is a fantastic single, and always brings a smile to my face. But I wouldn't have voted it best in this crowd either.
"For What It's Worth" seems the most qualified to me, over-exposed as it might be. And, it lacks the innocent joy of the Monkey's tune. Polar opposites, really. But both great. As was pretty much everything else.
