I'd forgotten how long this thread ended up being -- easily the longest RIP thread in our history.

Apropos of MJ's anniv, I just watched the docu This is It -- a real mixed bag. Some impressive sequences, to be sure, but other stuff just seemed repetitive and in the case of things like the "new" Thriller video he was making (in 3-D!), sorta desperate.  The fawning interviews with dancers and techs also grated, and I forgot how much "Heal The World" sounds like "We are the World".  Glad I didn't pay $15 to see it in IMAX.
