Dave's just put this over the top with my adored "L.A. Goodbye."  The version I bought off iTunes was a later re-recording (though to be fair, the vocals on it are very good).

I suspect people were confused by it sounding so dissimilar from "Vehicle."  They should have released it under an assumed name!

Like, The Doobie Bros (I often confuse it with "South City Midnight Lady", which it actually predates). Or Hall & Oates ( who it also came before).
