BOS to Calexico and the song that should be called "Hit the Ground Running" but I forget what its actual title is.  Made my Top 10 singles in Pazz & Jop two years ago.

So... is Pazz & Jop dead now, without Christgau & Eddy?

Good question.  I have no idea, and I bet Xgau hasn't decided yet.  (To underscore: He has not left the Voice.)

Wonder if they totally rerecorded this for the spanish version or just put a new lead vocal track on the original? 'Cuz the backing vox are still in English.
Let's get right to it.

I kinda figured it out, but the Spanish version caused a temporary brain fart.  Here in the Mission, lots of kids in class with Mexican flags draped around their necks.  Not quite in uniform compliance!

VHM Ozomatli.

Earlier Dave was talking about some right-wing radio guy (he didn't say who) ranting yesterday about how Americans should boycott all Cinco de Mayo festivities (and Corona beer) as a protest against the immigrant protest.

So drink up, everybody!

(I was hoping Dave would play the Spanish translation of the "Star Spangled Banner"...)

Hard to say.  My roommate from back in those days had this album & the English version kicked it off & the Spanish version was the final track.

Okay, so I was going to continue the theme with a post-set cd.  I go through my at work cds, and all I got is the Los Lonely Boys cd and Santana's Supernatural.  So, turning back the calendar a couple months, I settle on Thin Lizzy...
