On the way back I have to go take the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour in Fairfield.  Have to.  As part of my job.  Really.  No kidding.

It's very cool... and the JellyBelly tour is just down the road from there.

Right after Thanksgiving I have to go to Shanghai to help wrap up our deal to sell A-B labels for the Chinese version of Budweiser (Bai Wei).  I'll be hanging with the guy who reports to Prse. August A. Busch V.  So a brewery tour is a business expense for me now!

Clueless Foghead alert!  For the bonus track you had to identify the clip from The Poseidon Adventure in which Shelley Winters says, "See Mr. Scott!  In the water I'm a very skinny woman.  Hack! Agggghhh! Hu-aahhhh! [collapses]."

The first caller (female) guessed, "Darryl Hannah????"

Sure Mme. Curie, you betcha.  That sounded just like an 11 year old girl to me, too.

Good guess.  I looked it up, she turned 12 on Dec 3 of '72.

I knew somebody else had to be taken aback by that caller.  How much you wanna bet she's a blonde?

Ooh!  She shares a birthday with my mom!  (Who was most decidedly *not* 12 in 1972, I hasten to add.)

And Mark, between these stories and your chauffeur experiences, you have just about the most intriguing work history of anyone I've ever known.

Sadly, I'll miss tomorrow twice (10am meeting, and Fri nite I'm seeing Walk the Line).

Alas, I'll miss the first airing (10am meeting) myself. But, "cool" for seeing Walk The Line on Friday! Enjoy.

I'll be list'nin' in the car (if the signal holds) on my way to Sacto for a lunch meeting. On the way back I have to go take the Anheuser-Busch brewery tour in Fairfield.  Have to.  As part of my job.  Really.  No kidding.

Years ago I was on a business trip and did the Bud tour. St. Louis I think. Same trip I saw a ballgame with McGuire playing. Fun tour. There was a tasting room at the end and I remember having hard lemonade. I went back to staff a booth at a convention hall, a bit tipsy.
