BOS for Frank Zappa's congressional testimony -- the buzzsaw line is going in my quote file. And speaking of Frank, he has been woefully underrepresented in 10@10 over the years.
TANC: The Peak did 1974 this morning and they played his rarely-heard "Apostrophe" as part of an instrumental trifecta that included "Tubular Bells" and Mick Ronson's "Slaughter on 10th Ave"
I very nearly requested "Flower Punk" for '68 yesterday. Next time.
ETA: a quick search of this forum (haven't looked at the shraytabase) shows his 1985 PMRC clips show up nearly as often as his songs do in all other years. We haven't heard "Joes' Garage" since 2011, amazingly.
I don't think that much of Joe's Garage, given the quality of most of his oeuvre. Much like with Jethro Tull and
the Kinks, to name just two, 10@10 seems to focus on a small number of his later well-known songs and ignores
a large body of his earlier, and IMO, much better material.
