Sting "Little Wing"

Hiram Bullock
Thanks! Never hoid of 'im.
He was David Letterman's first guitarist (he was always barefoot). He also had a solo career in the fusion genre. He died a few years ago at the age of 52.

he's Pete Townshend's brother-in-law, actually.
I got called away for a meeting and I see I've missed absolutely nothing. This is like one of Morey's famous autopilot '87 sets.

He was David Letterman's first guitarist (he was always barefoot). He also had a solo career; I believe in the fusion genre. He died a few years ago at the age of 52.
Wow, interesting stuff. Too bad about dying though.
I'm pretty sure I could live a full life without ever hearing "Dude Looks Like a Lady" again.

This set is very Morey-esque (for an '87 set, that's not a good thing). Will we get Crowded House and Wang Chung? ::)
ETA: Thankfully, no.

Calvin Klein Obsession into Flesh For Lulu "I Go Crazy"
Is this a bustout?
-
"ohhh the smell of it" -- an appropriate comment on this set, indeed.
VHM Flesh For Lulu, "I Go Crazy" -- a def rarity and most welcome here.
-
New Order "True Faith"
Another KITS/Live 105 staple back in the day...
-
yet another LN (I've lost count): New Order.

Surprised Renee didn't have a HAAAAAAY pop moment in this set.

A tribute from his former bandleader:
“As I said on the show,” Mr. Shaffer said, “I think he was the greatest guitar player ever, with the exception perhaps of Jimi Hendrix. Nobody was ever better.”
-
oh yeah -- fun times, Renee. If you're a radio consultant.
-
Renee: BOS Flesh For Lulu; VHM Sinead O'Connor; 3rd place tie: Sting, TTD & New Order
I'm pleasantly surprised Flesh For Lulu got BOS. :)

I'm having trouble imagining what it could possibly be... it's certainly a vague clue.

Aerosmith "Dude (Looks Like A Lady)"
Do the lucky lady!

Yes, it appears so.

I've collected a few versions of this truly great song, and the Sting version seems to have staked out a different archetypal turf than Jimi, or Derek and the Dominoes, which I feel is a very significant version. I have a beautiful version by the Corrs that seems more closely related to the Sting version than the others, for example. A real shame about Mr. Bullock.
