The triumphant return of beloved Renee (kidding).
She had a fab time in Croatia, BTW. But we rarely have a fab time in 1987.
TOTHLN: INXS. "Hard to believe we need a place called hell" when there's 1987.
-
TOTHK - INXS "Devil Inside" - it's 1987
-
Midnight Oil "Beds Are Burning"
-
"Beds are Burning" in '87? yeah, legal, but I'll always associate it with '88. either way it's uber-LN2.
-
Icehouse "Electric Blue"
-
Icehouse "Electric Blue" -- also pretty borderline IMHO.
-
Icehouse "Electric Blue"
I'll give it an HM. I'll place it in the SR (Snoozy Rarity) category.
-
Grateful Dead "West L.A. Fadeaway"
-
Grateful Dead "West L.A. Fadeaway"
well, at least it's not "Hell in a Bucket" or "Touch of Gray". Still, rather snoozy.
-
Grateful Dead "West L.A. Fadeaway"
This isn't the greatest song, but it's extremely rare compared to the big hits on "In the Dark".
Think that counts as a rarity jinx, RGM!
-
Now here's a snoozy rarity...
-
U2 still haven't found what they're looking for
-
Neither has this set. LN
-
BOS The Grateful Dead. I didn't find it snoozy at all. It fit my Monday mood perfectly.
-
ooo! I *love* Pat Metheny's "Last Train Home" (aka the Amtrack commercial). Snoozy? Yes, but lovely. uber-BOS1 from me.
-
Pat Metheny Group "Last Train Home"
-

It certainly fits the mood of this set.
-
DC's got his mind set on LNs. Here's another from George.
-
Now here's a snoozy rarity...
Spoke too soon. Now THIS is a snoozy rarity... (Pat Metheny)
and I love the song too, but after a bunch of borderline snoozy uber LNs, it doesn't sound so hot.
-
George Harrison's got his mind set on you.
Anything from Cloud Nine besides the singles would have been welcome.

This song was a big disappointment for me when it came out. I knew he could do so much better. I didn't realize it was actually a cover. But anyway, it doesn't bother me so much now. And it has some saxy goodness in it.
-
I thought an "oral b" was a tasteful euphemism for a blowjob. Soft... hard... whatever, man.
LN 4 or 5: F.Mac, though it also seems to fit the flow here. VHM just 'cause it's a McVie tune.
-
Oral-B, Tasters Choice, AT&T, Fleetwood Mac "Everywhere"
-

Har har. I'll give it a VHM too since it is less frequently played.
-
Joe Cocker "Unchain My Heart"
-
unchain the heart of Zho Co-KAIR!

unchain the heart of Zho Co-KAIR!
BOS. Excellent cover.
-
perhaps RR is hungover from vacay and asked DC to give her songs that weren't too loud?
-
The Replacements "Can't Hardly Wait"
-
can't hardly wait for this set to end...
-
"Man!" Renee is caffeinated, well-rested and ready to go.
-
Grateful Dead gets BOS per Renee.

I'd have to agree about rarity; not sure I've heard this before on 101@10.

Dave played it regularly; AL only once.
It always sounded like a movie soundtrack song to me. It's the end of the movie and the
protagonists are walking away from the camera, perhaps down a deserted street, or into
a sweeping landscape. The camera gradually pulls back as the credits roll. About halfway
into the song, as the actors are just tiny spots, it fades to black as the credits continue.

This is the first appearance of "West L.A. Fadeaway" on 10@10 according to my files.
