My wishlist (All from the playlist of Hits 106, except for La Rissa & Enigma):

Dexter Freebish - Leaving Town
Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)
Hampton the Hamster - The Official Hamsterdance Song
La Rissa - I Do Both Jay and Jane
Enigma f/ Ruth Ann - Gravity of Love
Counting Crows - Mrs. Potter's Lullaby
Sisqo - Thong Song
Britney Spears - Lucky
South Park Mexican - You Know My Name
+1 to Eve 6 - Promise

I liked your list on FB but will have an aneurysm in the unlikely event Hamsterdance is played.

Bwahahaha!  actually the song in that list most likely to get played is the Counting Crows (which will get an automatic WOS from me). Sideshow Bob is never welcome in my ears.

I figured.  But ya have to admit, that was their last truly good song...and it doesn't get too many spins on KFOG these days.  Besides, I had to throw a KFOG staple somewhere on that list.  (Besides Dexter Freebish, did that ever get played?)  As well as more than a few songs to make people go WTF, 'coz 2000 was full of those.

HM, but unnecessary, FFF, because it's snuck back into KFOG recurrent rotation these past few weeks.  Still much better than Superman.

Agreed. I think it's the best of the post-Spinal Tap mockumentaries from Chris Guest et al.

BOS Elliott Smith.

I liked the LP with the big hits -- a LOT. But I felt they ran out of steam quickly. And Stefani's solo career is a musical abomination.

here's a really old fart: Ralph Stanley (and the Clinch Mountain Boys) A Harldy Strictly Bluegrass staple.

I was lucky enough to be backstage at this year's HSBG and Ralph walked by and someone asked "Who's that woman?"  heh..  When you are old enough, or young enough, you kinda lose your genderizing features.  That's why really old drag queens work so well.  :)

ETA:   oops, my mistake, it's not Ralph Stanley's version that was used in the movie, but the Soggy Mountain Boys.

Hrm, I got distracted, but I was gonna give this a least necessary vote.  But then, every Knopfler tune sounds pretty much the same to me.

There were a couple of versions of "Man of Constant Sorrow" in the film. The one we heard today featured Dan Tyminski, who was a member of Alison Krauss' band at the time, but went solo after the success of O Brother.

Lots o' great movie clips in today's set. Big ups to John Cusack in High Fidelity.

And the Foghead got a little history lesson during the backsell, pointing out how the Hives were just recycling the Sonics from a previous era. Nicely played.

Radical Ra(n)tings:

It does seem like it was lifted from KFOG in 2000 (except for 9 and 10)...but, for 10@10, I can tolerate KFOG 2000 a lot better than Alice 2011...or KFOG 2011 for that matter.

Good:

A
Five for Fighting (The whininess worked _once_.  Good thing this was his first single.)
Mark Knopfler

B
The Dandy Warhols
Smash Mouth
No Doubt

C
Steely Dan
The Hives (Not a huge fan of the screami-ness.)

D
Elliot Smith (Sorry, releasing the same song over and over again & then slicing yourself doesn't do much for me.  At least this wasn't Waltz #2.)
Soggy Bottom Boys (Couldn't they come up with a better name?)

F
Macy Gray

Necessary

B
Macy Gray (despite being incredibly annoying and already having an appearance...this song was quintessential 2000.  My HS class went completely gaga over this, sadly, but unsurprisingly.  But, for future reference, two passes is all it gets.)
Elliot Smith (I guess.)
Soggy Bottom Boys
Steely Dan
The Hives
Smash Mouth

C
Five for Fighting (Probably would have been more necessary if it wouldn't have snuck into KFOG's regular rotation recently.  Good song but pretty lethargic.)
No Doubt (SKoL is far from the worst they've done, but she needs to lay off No Doubt in the 2000s sets.)
Dandy Warhols

D
Mark Knopfler
