Apparently there will be just one set this year. Call in, call often!
-
AL has posted information regarding this on her FB page.
-
Tried to call in and offer my greetings once yesterday; got a busy signal and haven't had another chance during her shift since then. :( Hope someone else from our social club was able to record a message for tomorrow's set.
And I hope I can find time to hear it. Definitely won't during the am show; maybe tomorrow night if I'm lucky. Too much going on right now.
-
she was also soliciting song suggestions -- I'd prefer she stick to the classics on this set, quite frankly. Heard a Lyle Lovett and... some woman duet of "Baby it's Cold Outside" at the tail end of the Morning Show today that I thought was dreadful.

I'm unlikely to catch any of it either, since I really only listen when I am at work.
Hey Jim, I've really been into buying quality cheeses lately. My latest purchasw was Hoffman's Extra Sharp Cheddar. Not you I know, but I probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise. Merry Christmas buddy.

Aww...AL got all choked up during her introduction. (So did I)
-
pre-emptive 10-way tie (well, unless we hear Madonna). Merry Chrismakwanzukkah and a Fab Festivus to all of you -- this forum keeps me sane at work all year.
-
yay Eartha!
-
Weird hearing my voice on the radio, but wanted to give you lot a proper shout-out!
OMG Silly Foghead!

OMFG! Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert!

I recorded this pogues song a few years ago, but lost the mp3 - yay! now I don't have to search for it.
-
wow, Louis Armstrong!
This was not your father's (or Dave Morey's) 10@10 Xmas Card. But very nice. Can't decide if DC is pleased or is freaking out.
-
aaack! Petty! back to The Boardwalk...
-
I'll have to record this show and listen near the end of next week.
-
All the best to all of you now, and in the future.
Peace,
Geoff

Just catching the replay with my family here in Oakland.
Thanks guys for the fun forum here. I haven't gotten around to joining the FB group (don't actually use it so would have to create a fake account) but this forum is great.
I thought the John Stewart song was a lot of fun and not as obvious as the Adam Sandler Hannukah song.
Have a good holiday and an even better 2012 everyone!

Thanks, Nate -- we hope you get to spend more time here in the New Year.
Tonite I found myself wondering whatever happened to L-dewd and "the Giver". (staples of the Morey Xmas Set days, for you young'uns)

How is it? I've seen it at a couple of supermarkets, but haven't tried it. Better than your garden variety Tillamook, I hope. (If you like good cheddar, seek out Beecher's Flagship or their Flagship Reserve, out of Seattle. Both are damn fine. And we're really truly hoping to have distribution for our cheeses in California some time in 2012.)
Tuned in late, so I missed the first song and batch of dedications (so of course, that was where SGal's fell in the set--dammit!). I rather liked it; several evergreens (Waitresses, Pogues, Beach Boys, John & Yoko) and a few new faces as well (Aimee, Colbert/Stewart, etc.) Seemed a little shy on foghead greetings though--I think there were more of them last year. But did she solicit them on-air? If not, that'd explain the shortage.
So happy Xmas, my comrades in 10@10. A few new faces in the recent year or so, which I think is an entirely good thing. And still a few of us warhorses, who have been doing this for more years than I'm willing to admit. I wish you all a peaceful holiday, and great things in the coming year.

Making up for lost time:
"To Annalisa ,
Thank-You for all you do. You cheer everyone up all over the world on the radio.
You make us all glitter.
May you be blessed throughout the next 100 Years! Keep up all the good you do.
Here's looking at ya, you sexy doll baby, you sweet piece of cheese, you bundle of joy......this holiday season!
From Tennessee, your Uncle Scott.
(PS) You still need an award!"

I noticed that he had posted a whole mess of things on her page a day or two ago. Maybe the restraining order expired?

I just heard it, too. Nice job -- you sound great on the radio. :)
I just heard several of the past week's sets on the marathon stream, which I never heard before today. The fidelity is petty good, gotta say.
