Tried to call in and offer my greetings once yesterday; got a busy signal and haven't had another chance during her shift since then. Hope someone else from our social club was able to record a message for tomorrow's set.
And I hope I can find time to hear it. Definitely won't during the am show; maybe tomorrow night if I'm lucky. Too much going on right now.
I'm unlikely to catch any of it either, since I really only listen when I am at work.
Hey Jim, I've really been into buying quality cheeses lately. My latest purchasw was Hoffman's Extra Sharp Cheddar. Not you I know, but I probably wouldn't have bought it otherwise. Merry Christmas buddy.
How is it? I've seen it at a couple of supermarkets, but haven't tried it. Better than your garden variety Tillamook, I hope. (If you like good cheddar, seek out Beecher's Flagship or their Flagship Reserve, out of Seattle. Both are damn fine. And we're really truly hoping to have distribution for our cheeses in California some time in 2012.)
Tuned in late, so I missed the first song and batch of dedications (so of course, that was where SGal's fell in the set--dammit!). I rather liked it; several evergreens (Waitresses, Pogues, Beach Boys, John & Yoko) and a few new faces as well (Aimee, Colbert/Stewart, etc.) Seemed a little shy on foghead greetings though--I think there were more of them last year. But did she solicit them on-air? If not, that'd explain the shortage.
So happy Xmas, my comrades in 10@10. A few new faces in the recent year or so, which I think is an entirely good thing. And still a few of us warhorses, who have been doing this for more years than I'm willing to admit. I wish you all a peaceful holiday, and great things in the coming year.
