Please let's not have a "Best Of 103.7" set. (Although to be frank, her recent 60's sets have been quite good).

Yay for the 60s! I'll be working in the classroom tomorrow, so I'll miss it. Damn, why did today have to be Kyrie day?

POW! BAM! OOF!
BOS1, Theme from Batman!
-
BOS for Batman. (HM for Robin.)
'Batman' was my first word, I'm shamed to say. I think my Mom was cool with it, though.

Why am I still hearing "Live from the Archives" dullness?
-
Why am I still hearing "Live from the Archives" dullness?
Because they're having computer-related stream problem yet again (3rd time this week?) Automation SUX.
-
Why am I still hearing "Live from the Archives" dullness?
I'm not listening to the stream, so I'm going to be a little ahead of the curve. I'll restrain myself so as not to spoil any surprises.
-
Why am I still hearing "Live from the Archives" dullness?
The stream has been really delayed lately.
Don't expect to fight KFOG on that, though. I once fought KFOG, but KFOG won.

Yuck. This "It's All Right" song is SO snoozy. Some Hiatt/Prine/Big Head bluesy-folksy shit; I could care less who the actual artist is.

-
BOS1 Sam the Sham! A-WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
-
It's ON! BOS for the Standells.
so you heard nothing before the Standells? that means stream listeners missed two songs.

Well, I didn't start listening right at 10, but I imagine that's the case.

Sam The Sham and the Pharoahs!

possible BBOS (Best Bassline Of Set) classic garage band sound!
-
I want to tell you that I first leaned of this George Harrison song from Ted Nugent's cover.

When the Dead did this song, most Deadheads hated it and called it "I Fought the Slaw!"

BOS2 Animals; BOS3 Beatles feat George!

which says more about Deadheads than I can bear.

Not sure outside of a knee-jerk slam what you mean. It's not that they hated the original song, they didn't like the Dead's version.

it wasn't just the carnivore Dead Heads? they hate vegetables I hear.
wow, this Supremes song is NTM.... AWESOME beat. fantastic.
BOS for the week!
-
I still say "Love is Like an Itching in my heart" should've been licensed for a Vagisil commercial. VHM Diana & the Supes.
-
Gimme some 'trinin'. OK, unfair maybe. At least it's not the Blues Bros version.
-
Little Stevie Winwood! Another garage band classic!
-
Help ID-ing this one, please. Lovin' it, tho'.
-
This bluesy one is completely NTM. Is it really the Stormsville Shakers (who I've never heard of)? And who did that lead-in?

if you mean the "pirate radio" clip it was Patrick McGoohan from Secret Agent.
Per FB, the song was early Jeff Beck. Geoff can confirm, I'm assuming.
BOS4 Mitch Ryder.
-
ooo! BOS5e the Lefte Banke, "Walke Awaye Reneee"
-
Too. Damn. Short. Very nicely done.
-
before the stream started, it said the upcoming song was the Cars!

Worry not, SG, you weren't the only one to miss it. Turns out 10am was zero hour for the departure of the single-wide we've been trying to get rid of for the last two years. So I had to go ride herd on that project. But it's gone, so all good.
Was really hoping AL would make good on her thought of using my suggestion of Double Shot (of My Baby's Love) as the TOTHK, but it was not to be. I think she's played it before though, so c'est la vie. Was also hoping for the OTHER Standells tune that she ref'd last night (Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White)--again, not to be. Will have to set my clock for 9:58 tonight to catch the rewind.

I was only able to think it was some sort of British guitar god; could've been Clapton. Upon further research, it looks like the specific track, "The Nazz is Blue," was not on the original US release. I've heard it now and then, but not with any sense of ID.
-
before the stream started, it said the upcoming song was the Cars!
I bet the Cars was the first song they played after 10at10 ended?

yup! I think it shows more than they intend. It tips the hand of what they're going to play to bring us back down to earth.

Ok, some of those are "oldies", but goddamn I enjoyed that.

Did AL say she was going to Boston for the weekend? Hmmm, we might be in for a "classic" on Monday then.
