This is Black Magic Woman? Sounds a little like it, but not quite. And certainly not the version I've heard.

You know what? You a country....!
er, is that your own personal mondegreen? a polite way of saying "you're fat!"?
no, I think that's what she says. She's leaving a word out, but the slight she means is "you are a country negro."

She's saying "You're country", which is another way of saying "you're a hick".

yeah, okay, that's what the online lyrics sheet says, but I think my phrase works there, too.

Well, it wasn't the familiar version of FM's BMW, that's fer sher.
I'll give a BOS for "She Has Funny Cars".
And btw, it was nice to hear Dave Morey on yesterday morning. Anybody hear that?

Airplane, baby!
AL has played this before. So far only one of these songs was a FB request ("Arnold Layne").

Gotta BOS Try A Little Tenderness & Alone Again Or (though I love The Damned version a bit more). Fun set!

I saw that at the SF Film Fest. It's a nice romp, as they say, but I hear the filmmaker's previous earlier work(s) is/are more significant.

Nice set, mostly psychedelic plus Otis 2-fer!

Self-doubt is an awful thing... ???

I would not have complained if Annalisa had done a Veterans Day set of some sort. I went to Vets Parade last Sunday, it was raining, but hardly anyone was out there. It was a little sad.

Calexico did a nice version of "Alone Again Or" a few years ago:

Yes -- I *loved* his first 2 films, Head On and especially Edge of Heaven, one of those overlapping-stories-that-double-back-on-each-other films that is *SO* much better than Crash, Babel, etc it's not even funny. SK is pretty lightweight compared to those 2.

he gets Charlie Crist's mojo risin', I guess ;)

I would have gone had it not been raining (if I lived in City I would've attended regardless). Some towns are doing their Vet's Day parades today.
ETA: Just heard on KCBS that SF Vet Day Parade is on again today, started 11am, from 2nd/Market down Market to Civic Center. http://www.ktvu.com/news/25754197/detail.html

Now I'm tempted to 'suggest' a Veterans Day 10@10. Make me stop!

That's a FAIL. Maybe the entire parade took MUNI underground down Market Street, but they dang sure weren't marching right now. I was just out there. KCBS is a few days late on that one. Oops! Hope they corrected that.
Of course, the parade SHOULD be today, but like a lot of cities, SF does these things on the prior weekend b/c it's more convenient.
Too bad, they could learn from a place like NYC, which does it right.
Veterans Day? why that would November 11th, sir, every year.
St Pat's? 'Tis on March 17th, donchaknow. No argument.

Why can't they start these parades from the Ferry Building? Then I could sit on my lazy butt and watch the shenanigans from indoors. :P
Seriously, I had no idea that there was even a parade last week. And I'm still kind of bummed that the Giants started on Montgomery Street near the Transamerica Pyramid - I realize that in 1958 Montgomery Street was where it was at in downtown, but that's not really the case anymore.

You are indeed correct sir. I was listening on headphones walking around the farmers' market. This was a super special request from me last night. I was so overwhelmed. I wonder if anyone thought it was Santana? This is the first time I have ever heard this on KFOG. I even won request-o-rama, and they wouldn't play it!
