"It's magic inside" sez AL -- I suspect "Don't Stop believin'" will make an appearance. I vote for "Torture" by the Jacksons, har har.

Some clever suggestions on FB ("Adam Raised a [Matt] Cain", har har), but one guy actually asked for "Wouldn't it Be Nice" -- which we heard TODAY! -- "as a Brian Wilson tie-in".  Our educational system has failed us, folks.

aww, c'mon Mike!  "Wouldn't it be nice" if we made it to the World Series?  And how can you ignore the name of our closer?

I haven't been to a game this year, but do they still play "WLTDO?" It seems very 10-years-ago to me. (and now it's on all sorts of "worst songs ever" lists)

wonder if AL will dig up Thomas Dolby's "Blinded me With Giants" thing from 2002.

I neglected to request for The Fall's "Kurious Oranj"  -- Not that it's an inspired baseball choice, but there's not to many song titles I can think of w "Orange" (or a variation there of) in them.

I never thought much of John Fogerty's solo stuff until I saw him at the Bill Graham memorial concert in GG Park in 91.  He was pretty great onstage, and this familiar hit was a joy to sing along with.  Stadium pop at its finest.

Ever hear the Waylon Jennings version? -- a Top Ten Country single, and it deletes the verse about Jackie Robinson which is the Whole. F--ing. POINT of the friggin' tune.

Ghost Buster -- again, too cute and Posey asked them to stop playing it at the park. I'd like to bust *his* posey. ;)

The Giants used this as the theme for their ad campaign in about '87 or '88, but I doubt AL was here then to remember it. But even the cover version they used was better than this one.

Ghostbusters? Not sure I get the reference.

That ties directly to what I just posted on FB about Kenny Chesney's "Boys of Fall" video, a mash note to high school football that gives voice only to white people.  Country music audiences want what they want, and canny country musicians give it to them.

That would have been fun. It's NTM.

I like how the first five notes of Take Me Out To the Ball Game are used in the arrangement.  Too bad AL didn't bite, it would have raised her average for today's 10 at 10 above the Mendoza line.

Another song I realized would have fit: "Orange Crush" (as I disrobe my dress shirt, revealing the undershirt - alright, TMI).

Regarding the BeeGees - 10@10 really opened me up to their non-disco work, particularly "Lonely Days".

that must've been new this year -- and it's fairly clever. I've always found the use use of music at AT&T underwhleming compared to a lot of other ballparks.
