a can't-fail year.  Yet a Foghead requested "Hey Jude", which we heard a month ago when we last visited '68. *sigh*

Always a favorite.  I remember years ago we were listening to the Idiot Show and this song came on.  My roommate called in to ask who it was and M. Dung told him; he came back to us and reported that it was "The Deckers"!  We came him a lot of crap when Dung came on and set us straight.  Alcohol was involved.

For a year or so I've had a pipe dream of making a mockumentary based on that album.  Or writing one for the "33 1/3" series of album-based books, if any of you are familiar with those.

Excellent TOTHK w Jimi.  That one is sort of NTM.

Loved the hippie sentiment of Dave Mason's We Can All Join In -- somewhere I have a cassette tap of WNYU's Plastic Tales From the Marshmallow Dimension show that contains a psych band doing a cover of that.

some of the last "Marvin & Tammi" 45s were actually Marvin and Valerie (doing her best Tammi imitation) because Tammi was too ill to record (she died in 1970 at age 22 of a brain tumor) "California Soul" is one of those 45s, I think.

Bwahahaha!   love it!  beautiful SoCal imagery and wall of sound shoegazey music (did I use that term correctly, or just embarrass myself?)

Even Ronnie himself prefers the old In-N-Out to McDonald's food.... and who doesn't?

I've found the odds are quite good when you request on her FB page. And she clearly tries to spread it around and not use the same people's suggestions all the time.
