Oh my yes! Add "Starry Eyes" by the Records and you've got the 1979 12-string-guitar trifecta.
-
leading (of course) with the 'Mats "Alex Chilton". followed by Mr Lowe, "So It Goes"
-
Plimsouls and Marshall Crenshaw. well... OK. Betcha we get some Cheap Trick before it's over.
-
BOS Badfinger, "No Matter What".
-
BOS2 Bram T -- I guess the trifecta would be too much to hope for.
-
I guess I'm not all that clear on the definition, but it's an interesting set so far. BOS Bram T.
-
BOS3 the mighty 'berries, "I Wanna Be With AL".
-
two in a row from your list, Mike.

agreed -- I think of powerpop as more on the Raspberries tip, but... whatever.
-
Is this already tune #7 with the 'Berries? Quick set.
-

Wayback's list, actually. I doubt we're gonna get my Pezband request, tho' the Rubinoos may make it.
#3 from Wayback" the Groovies, shakin' some.
-
Woo Hoo! "Shake Some Action" is the one I was holding out for. Overall BOS to SF's own Groovies.

She said it was going in reverse...were all the songs in reverse chronological order? Seems like "So It Goes" was older than some that came after it. But overall, it seems that way.
-
BOS for the Records "Starry Eyes". It's just perfect. I wish I could write a song like that. It outByrds the Byrds!
-
BOS4 the Records, tho' AL just played this one a few weeks back. Truly one of THE. GREAT. New Wave OHWs. I don't wanna argue!
"the writ has hit the fan" is one of the best lines ever.
-
well maybe not the trifecta, but at least we got an exacta!
-
BOS5 Big Star -- tho' the Bangles actually improved this one IMHO.
