THeads Love For Sale, from True Stories.
Off to a good start.
As always, hoping AL does more with this year than Dave generally did.
-
BOS1 T.Heads -- loved the LP. The movie, notsomuch.
-
You don't have to watch Dynasty to give "Kiss" a BOS2!

got ta, got ta, GOT ta!
ETA: John Forsythe recently celebrated his 92nd birthday
-
Prince definitely says "1986" to me. Not a bustout (nor was the THeads), but good selections both.
-
another Morey fave: GLJ, "Desire"
-
Mike Tyson, you are Superman, har har. BOS3 REM
-
Mike Tyson, you are Superman, har har. BOS3 REM
Evander Holyfield might have something to say about that.
-
10@10's what you make it, AL -- and a bustout or 2 would really make this set. Some pop would go down nicely -- Jermaine Stewart, perhaps?
-
Well, now we're venturing into serious Katrina territory--this one at one point had a K rating of nearly 30%.
ETA: Referring to the Talk Talk song, although WCTBL (Van Hagar) is a pretty big K, too.
-
VHM Alex P. Keaton. This is the longest TV clip AL's played in a while -- her snippets are usually pretty short.
WOS Van Hagar.

I presume you mean Talk Talk -- might want to be a little more specific. Still a great song. And a far sight better than the crappy Van Hagar joint "Why Can't This Be Love". I hate that line: "only time will tell if we stand the test of time." Terrible.

Yes, I was referring about Life Is What You Make It. Mea culpa.
And no, Sammy is no Hemingway when it comes to turning a phrase.

uber-BOS4 Dramarama! A song I discovered on KROQ when on vacay in LA -- It was ignored by NY alt-rock radio for some reason.
-
BOS5 the Iggster. Every stinking bum should wear a crown.

There's your bustout, along with Iggy's Cry For Love, which is kinda tame compared to what we've come to expect from him.
ETA: The Dramarama was nearly an artist bustout, were it not for one appearance of Earth Day in a set for, umm, Earth Day. Go figure.
-
That Morrissey -- he's such a kidder!
I'll give this a BOS. I don't like most Smiths -- too whiny for my taste -- but this song does rock.
-
BOS6 Smiths -- my Walkman's starting to melt!
-
AL does love her some Smiths. BOS4 Bigmouth Strikes Again. Not a bustout, but just one appearance in the Dave era.
-
BOS7 Mr Palmer, turning us on, tho' the Cherelle original would've been nice.
-
VHM R. Palmer, unintentionally getting us worked up.
Hasn't someone else in the 10@10 oeuvre played this recently?

I think it was Austin "Bob" on 9@9.
