YAY! I've been hearing brief gaps in the stream this morning--hope it ceases during the set!
Mickandaboyz! All Down The Line!!
-

-
Definiely a72 vibe!
-
Love that "special guest star Luther Adler" :D

VHM Doobs, rockin' down those SF hills.

aka "Oh! Dandelion!"
-
a pre-Jeezus Jonathan Edwards.
-
BOS1 Badfinger
-
Baby Blue makes its 2nd appearance of the day -- it was in Rob's '71 set too, Dixie dear.

Another big ol' sledgehammer for me, and a one-timer in the DB, dating back to early 2006.
And still another--Badfinger's Baby Blue! Def. sounds like '72 to me.
-
Dang! I wanted to hear the Surprising Barbie theme song!
-
the CarpentErs song with the big guitar solo!
-
BOS2 Karen, Richard and their fuzztone gee-tar. proxy of gaz.
-
Check out that fuzz-tone guitar on the Carpenters! Nice contrast to Karen's beautiful voice. But weird.

There were easy-listening stations that loved the Carpenters but edited out the guitar part!
-
Holy crap! BOS3 rare Bowie!
-
Holy crap! BOS3 rare Bowie!
First bustout of the set, I think! BOS here--but dammit, there's the buffering. ICK!
-
Rare glam twin-spin! Good stuff, and a veritable fuzz-fest over the last three songs.
-
a T-Rex bustout?
-
a T-Rex bustout?
I believe so--The Slider, no? BOS3
-
a T-Rex bustout?
This is most impressive -- it's not even one of the "hits" from the LP (even tho' it's the title track). I barely remember hearing this on the radio in '72, much less since. BOS4
-
OMGWTFLOL!!! The Move! BOS5 to another bustout.
-

These are the only T. Rex tunes in the Db:
Bang A Gong (Get It On) - 1
Children Of The Revolution - 1
Jeepster - 4
Metal Guru - 13
Solid Gold Easy Action - 1
Telegram Sam - 2
-
I am thoroughly stumped by this song that followed the T. Rex--has a very Bowie-esque sound but can't be 'cause we just heard him. The glam-fest continues, that's for sure!
ETA: And I see Mike pegged it while I was typing. Amazing.

an Artist Bustout even...
-
Rod the Bod brings us down to earth with
"Hard Luck Woman" "You Wear it Well". A li'l old-fashioned, but that's all right.

They were faves on NYC prog-FM, but I'm amazed they were still recording in '72 -- the ELO/Wizzard split was just around the corner.

Best Movie Ever Made!

BOS6 (!) Nilsson's fantabulous "Jump Into The Fire". (used brilliantly in another great film, GoodFellas)
-
I know it's not news at this point that AL has been out-doing herself on a regular basis, but this set is gobsmackingly great.
-
As much as I dig Nillsson and psychedelia in general, I never liked "Jump Into the Fire". It just sounds bad to me.
-
wowee-wow-wow indeed! I'm exhausted.
-
Damn, that was good.
-

Dave would be mighty proud to see that the Carpenters won BOS -- don't think they ever did in the handful of times he played them.

Dave played "Bless The Beasts And The Children" once, "Goodbye To Love" four times, and once played "Please Mr. Postman" in a HFH set.
GTL was in a 3-way tie for BOS in 2 of it's 4 appearances.

I *knew* you'd clear that up. ;)
-
I can't wait for a 2009 10@10 when they play a clip from the classic television series "Trauma".
I'll give BOS to the bonus track.
-
Just noticed something I'd forgotten about All Down the Line: the nod to Phil Spector and the Ronettes with the ending refrain "be my little bay-bay for a while." Long before Eddie Money would do likewise.

do you really think so? Seems a stretch to me!

I love this song, but there's something horribly muddy to my ears about the production. BOS nevertheless - I'll try to catch this set in the morning since I've never heard the Move or T. Rex songs.
