I feel like I've heard this 10 times in the last month, for some reason. And that's... unattractive.

I hope this is the 3/11/2005 set more than the 4/18/2007 set.

OK, there are two sets in the DB that lead with Radioactive. If it's the one from 2007, meh. But if it's the one from 2005 (that was a classic then) then there's goodies afoot.

Ah, crap, it's the 2007 one.

Had it been the classic from Ought-five, we'd have Bozo Goes To Bitburg and Bastards of Young to look forward to. Damn.

Oh well, it isn't.  This is still a pretty good set, but not quite as good as the other one:

March 11, 2005

1.) Firm - Radioactive
2.) John Fogerty - The Old Man Down The Road
3.) Ramones - Bonzo Goes To Bitburg
4.) R.E.M. - Green Grow the Rushes
5.) Bryan Adams - Run To You
6.) Replacements - Bastards Of Young
7.) Talking Heads - The Lady Don't Mind
8.) Squeeze - Last Time Forever
9.) U2 - Bad (Live)
10.) Cure - In Between Days

Mike, are you listening to both channels at once?  I'm hearing a rather yawn-inducing version of Thunder Road.

it was at the time, but Dave played it again in 2008 once.  BOS from me as well.

ETA: Another one of those not very good 80's movies with a superior soundtrack.  I have this on vinyl.

The book is really good; they changed the ending for the movie.

It is generally true that students love anything that explodes and/or catches on fire.  But I assume that is no surprise to any.

Hey all -- I think it was this set ... when they played it in the morning, they completely cut off Dave's recount of the songs at the end.  It was very very weird.  Did anybody else catch that?  Was I just dreaming?

GAH.  Maybe it was an omen of things to come (I just read Re: Dave and am especially dismayed to hear about cutting his voice out of old shows.  Geeawd that would just suck.  Royally.)

I don't think they're really cutting Dave out of the archived shows.  Mainly just bad sequeing out of the recordings.  It would probably be simpler for Webster or someone to create new shows than to edit Dave out of the old ones.  The station is just milking the show for as long as they can with Dave's voice for free.  In these economic times, I'm sure they believe it's good business. :-\
