My thoughts exactly!
-
BOS 8th Day, a fine soulful TOTHK.
VHM and proxy of Gaz, HJF&R
-
BOS2 Chicago's anti-drug PSA. Shootin' dope! Losin' hope!
-
Not sure where everybody is, but this is a really great set (2-9-07, if you want to look it up). And it's a Spot-The-Vinyl set ta boot.

I'm sure enjoying it... And loooong version of Chicago only improves the 'beginning' of my day.
-
only the beginning!

I'm anticipating hot Rod and Diana. Diana woulda been my BOS
-
another proxy of gaz for Tin Tin's deliberately warped-sounding "Toast and marmalade", one of the best BeeGees imitations ever.
-
VHM Rod and his '71 Bod.

Hah! It totally fooled me (not very difficult to do).
-
my brain is squirmin' like a toad.
-
Riders On The Storm gets plenty of airplay outside 10@10, but it sure sounds good to me in this set.
-
another vote for "Draggin' The Line", love this song.
-
BOS3 the heavy-leather "Resurrection Shuffle"!
-
LAWD! BOS4 Diana at her best, "Remember Me".
-
BOS Remember Me
-
There's really nothing in this set that isn't worthy of a BOS vote, but I would give the overall BOS to Chicago, rather than a 10-way tie.
-
BOS Remember Me
"remember me as a big balloon..."

OMG -- tears all around for Dave's swan-song song.
"have a GREAT rest of today... and thanks for listening"
-
That really was a fab set. And it so happens that the new LA 10@10 did '71 the other day:
Locomotive Breath - Jethro Tull
Thank You - Bonnie Raitt
Put Your Hand in the Hand - Ocean
Life on Mars - David Bowie
Reason to Believe - Rod Stewart
Bitch - Rolling Stones
Graham Nash - Chicago - We Can Change the World
One - Three Dog Night
Statesboro Blues - Allman Brothers Band
Shaft - Isaac Hayes
That Bonnie Raitt song (it's NOT her Sam & Dave cover) is NTM, and of course they screwed up by playing 3DN's "One" in '71, it's from '69. Not sure if they go back further, year-wise. But Ocean is impressive -- has Dave ever played that?
ETA: they did '68 today! see list in the "Regional" thread

I shoulda never mentioned that '71 was long-missing the day before I had a morning appointment. I figured either they'd go 90s, or earlier in the 70s, but damnit I didn't think they'd do '71. Have to try to catch the replay tonight.
BUT! Just checked my archive DB, and I had the good sense to record this back in '71! Whew!

That would be some INCREDIBLE foresight.
