And TFF is still trying to rule the world.
Something Dave has used as TotHK thrice in the Db.
ETA: it's always a good day when you get to use the word 'thrice'. :) :) :)
-
Yikes! If this isn't acompeltely new set, then we have the following choices for tune #2:
Prefab Sprout - "Appetite"
Cockrobin - "When Your Heart Is Weak"
Paul Young - "Every Time You Go Away"
-
ooo! BOS to Paul Young covering H&O. I'm gonna guess we get either "Kayleigh" (hope not) or "Endicott" (hope so).

But of course, we get the one that's already been a classic once. First airing was 12/6/06, repeated on May 21 of last year.

okay, this is from Dec of 2006, and after we get through losing our meat here it's a pretty good set, no other Katrina's & some real rarities, although there is one cringer.

neither, but there will be some TAFKAP!

BOS2 DS.

BOS #1, Dire Straits. Still a great album, hard to believe it will be 25 yrs old next year.
I read once that something like 30% of people who bought their first CD player also bought this disc at the same time.
-
B.O.S.3. J.C.M. R.O.C.K./U.S.A, O.K.?
-
ooo! a good Daltrey rarity (Daltrarity?) BOS4FRA.
-
B.O.S.3. J.C.M. R.O.C.K./U.S.A, O.K.?
Only a VHM from me, but I will BOS Roger Daltrey.

I'd believe that. It had the good timing to have been released not long before CD players started getting a big push from the record companies and electronic manufacturers, it had a number of hits on it, and it was the first fully digital album to be released (DDD), so it sounded really good. It was the first to sell a million copies on CD.

Wow! BOS5 "Pop Life" -- is this set its only 10@10 appearance?

Nope, it also showed up in the Feb 2, '06 set.
-
Lawd, another BOS(6!) and proxy of Gaz for the looong version of Sade's "Smooooth Operator".

Yep, but this embarassment of riches is about to come to a screeching halt. The song Mshray called "cringe-worthy" is up next, unless I'm reading him wrong.
-
Yep, BOSes for Prince & Sade as well.
and a pre-emptive WOS for tune #8, before my overall BOS for tune #9.

Nope you're not. And to think that this was the Foghead BOS for the original airdate!

It's not just "cringe-worthy", it literally induces uncontrolled cringing. (and I used 'literally' correctly)

No argument here. I'm just now coming out of an involuntary cringe state.

Bryan Adams isn't a bad man... he's just ambitious!

Wasn't this the video that had a bunch of different folks auditioning to be the vocalist? Donny Osmond appears uncredited, and when asked if he has any experience he replies, "I used to sing with my brothers a little."
ETA: checked the AMG credits for this album (Flash) to see who did the vocals, and no one of note is credited except Rod Stewart, and he was only on "People Get Ready".
However Jan Hammer was credited on keyboards, and now he's tune #10. Also interesting that this song was written by Nile Rodgers.

and a VHM for "MV"

Thanks for the Sade proxy. TANC: the other day I bought Around the World in a Day for $5 at Virgin. (They're trying to offload a lot of inventory as their Times Square location is closing this spring.)
