Always liked the video for this one too.

I'll go ahead and request this.

This will be a lean couple of weeks for me, 10@10-wise. I'm in all-day meetings tomo'w & Thurs, and I'll be in Napa for a 3-day conference next Tue/Wed/Thur. So she can play as many '90s/'00s sets as she wants on those days. :)
-
I won't be able to listen to this live, so take notes!
-
Giants win the West --> Peter Wolf "Come as You Are" -- BOS1 and as good a 1987 TOTHK as I could've asked for.
-
LN1: "Can't Hardly Wait"
-
More Giants --> Joan Jett "Light of Day". BOS2.
-
LN2/WOS Petty "Jammin' Me"
-
LN3 U2 "Bullet the Blue Sky"
-
LN2/WOS Petty "Jammin' Me"
Agreed on the lack of necessary-ness on this one, but as songs go I don't mind it that much. Usually gets the audience at his at his live shows (or it did when I last saw him).
-
"Greed is Good"/Wall St crash --> Tom Waits! BOS3 "Cold Cold Ground"
-
LN3 U2 "Bullet the Blue Sky"
Again, not necessary but far from the worst choice from this album.
-
"Jane's Getting Serious" -- a onetime Moreytrina we haven't heard a lot of recently, iirc.
-
"Greed is Good"/Wall St crash --> Tom Waits! BOS3 "Cold Cold Ground"
Woooot! An easy BOS pick for me, but I can just picture the whinging going on in Snipetown.

yeah, the Waits-haters are probably out. But this has been a very rock-oriented set so far, as usually happens in late-'80s visits. And 3 BOSes is a lot for me in that era.
-
Princess Bride wedding --> Sting "Be Still My Beating Heart". BOS4, this one strikes me as fairly rare, tho' I could be wrong.
ETA: it is rare: played once by AL in 2012 and once by Dave in an '80s Vertical Tasting in 2006 (!)
and it's followed by Sting on SNL as "GoldSting"

Actually it wasn't too bad, only a couple of sarcastic cracks from one or two folks (I'll let you guess who). But the participation over there seems to be off a bit the last week or two. Possible that some of the Snipes are moving on?
-
OMFG: T'Pau, "Heart & Soul". BOS5 to a welcome pop hit.
-

It's the preponderance of '90s and late-'80s sets recently, i think

Ah, good point. One does seem to have occurred in response to the other.
Overall however, today's set has been not bad at all. The deeper cuts (Waits, T'Pau, Peter Wolf, Joan Jett, even Sting) have pretty much balanced out the FFs.
-
Giants clinch the West --> ugh... "Touch of Grey", one of the true uber-LNs of '87. Well, ya can't have everything. But overall, one of the better '87 sets in a while.
-
More Giants sound to close.

I remember being at Candlestick when they played this song between innings. It really rocked the crowd. Great song, even if a bit obvious.
-
Wow, AL played two of my requests (Joan Jett and T'Pau)! Gotta listen on SoundCloud later today. :)
-
LN3 U2 "Bullet the Blue Sky"
another great song!

Absoluta-didly. BOS from me.

Possibly, but I think urth's comment might be more spot on.

"Greed is Good"/Wall St crash
It is time to retire this clip. Talk about overexposed...
And in regard to what KFOG would not and would play, I know that in 1987 several tracks
from Jethro Tull's excellent Crest of a Knave album got lots of airplay. None of them have
appeared on 10@10.
