Dunno about Let's Go All The Way, but we're gonna Do It Again with the Kinks. I remember liking this record a lot when it was released (even saw them on this tour I think), but can't say I've heard it in ages. A 10@10 bustout? A good TOTHC in any case, particularly for 1985.

Didja guys hear Dave talking about a top 10 albums of the 80's list?  He nominated Avalon, and promised that this will be the topic of discussion tomorrow morning.  I think it was Peter who mentioned this REM album as a possiblity.

Dave has played it before tho' not much.


He's played this one*, but I don't think he has played "Living On A Thin Line" yet.

*btw this is another Peaked-at-#41 song (& it did so in the late fall of '84, not '85, but we won't go into that).

I'm giving my BOS to Animotion's "Obsession."  So corny yet so sexy.  No one else has ever bridged that particular gap to my knowledge.

Albums of the '80s won't be complete without Songs From the Big Chair, Nebraska, Born in the USA, and TTD's Introducing the Hardline.

I'd nominate Robbie Robertson's first solo record (the one with Showdown at Big Sky). Also the Replacements Let It Be, or maybe Tim. And Peter Gabriel's fourth album (the one that's become known as Security).

it's days like this that remind me of how out of touch I  am with much of what you young'uns listen to.  I appreciate getting to hang around, but don't have much to add, having never heard Animotion before!
