we got "Grapevine" AND "Hey Jude"  in that set.

Renee has played "Grapevine", "Dock of the Bay", and "Hey Jude" each twice on her three visits to 1968.

For the heck of it, here's a 1968 10-track playlist I compiled:

 1. Tom Jones - Delilah
 2. Jackie Wilson - I Get The Sweetest Feeling
 3. Henson Cargill - Skip A Rope
 4. The Intruders - Cowboys To Girls
 5. Grateful Dead - Dark Star
 6. Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass - Panama
 7. Freddie Scott - (You) Got What I Need
 8. The Monkees - Circle Sky
 9. The Beatles - Honey Pie
10. Tiny Tim - Then I'd Be Satisfied With Life

Think any of the above would be DC/RR approved?  ::)

1. The Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil
2. Marvin Gaye - I Heard It Through The Grapevine
3. Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues
(News: The hallucinogens. LSD. )
4. The Moody Blues - Departure/Ride My Seesaw
5. Bobbie Gentry - Ode to Billie Joe*
6. The Lemon Pipers - Green Tambourine
(News: MLK shot)
7. The Doors - Waiting For The Sun
8. The Four Tops - Bernadette*
9. Tommy James and The Shondells - I Think We're Alone Now*
(Music: The Beatles doing studio stuff before the completely unnecessary song.)
10. The Beatles - Hey Jude

* - actually from '67

ETA: Renee sez on FB that she had originally planned '67, changed her mind to '68 and got her stacks o' wax mixed up. Or something.

So that would account for the following description of today's 10@10:

The Quote: "You've come a long way baby" we are in 1968, mostly, today on 10@10.

BOS went to "Hey Jude", VHM 3-way tie to the Stones, Johnny Cash and the Moody Blues, according to Renee.

Wish Renee would have allowed the outtake of "Hey Jude" (with a bit of "St. Louis Blues") to play out.

or better yet something obscure from the White Album, like "Honey Pie".

Or if you really want daring, how about something from Tiny Tim, whom Macca was imitating on "Honey Pie"? Say "Then I'd Be Satisfied With Life" from his God Bless Tiny Tim album...

I Think We're Alone Now - Tommy James & the Shondells

I was listening to two covers of this the other day -- by The Rubinoos (1977) and Lene Lovich (1978).
